A fresh launch trailer has been prepared for the revival City Hunter. Now releasing outside of Japan for the first time, the side-scrolling action game has made it to Nintendo Switch and Switch.

City Hunter Nintendo Switch physical

Today, Clouded Leopard Entertainment and Red Art Games shared details about City Hunter’s new features and physical editions ahead of its digital release next week.

The boxed versions, which will only be sold on Nintendo Switch (not Switch 2) are planned for September 17. The game’s standard release and XYZ Collector’s Editions will be available from various retailers upon release, but the limited Deluxe Edition (limited to 500 copies) will be exclusive to Red Art Games’ official online store.

Super Bomberman Collection physical release

After Super Bomberman Collection was revealed and launched for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch yesterday, information has come through about the physical release. Red Art Games is in charge of production.

The company is planning a standard version, Deluxe Edition, and Collector’s Edition. The physical release will be available for Nintendo Switch on August 25, 2026 in North America and August 28 in Europe. Super Bomberman Collection will be available from major retailers at launch on Nintendo Switch, but the Switch 2 Edition is exclusive to VGP in North America and redartgames.com exclusive in Europe.

Here’s the rundown of everything planned:

September 24: Today, Success Corporation and Red Art Games unveiled Psyvariar 3 for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. The two sides did not provide launch timing.

Psyvariar 3 celebrates the series’ 25th anniversary. This is actually the first brand-new numbered entry in the series in 22 years.

Metal Suits physical

After it was initially sold as a digital download, Metal Suits: Counter Attack has now been confirmed for physical release. This one comes from Red Art Games.

500 copies of a Deluxe Edition are planned, with each unit containing the full game with its deluxe sleeve, a double-sided poster, and a metal keychain. Those who miss out can purchase a regular copy.

Joe & Mac Retro Collection

Red Art Games is making Joe & Mac Retro Collection for Nintendo Switch, the company announced today. It will be available later in 2025.

Joe & Mac Retro Collection contains the three games in the series released in the early 90s on the SNES plus the uncensored Japanese versions. There will be multiple new features including save states, rewind, a CRT filter, and local co-op for Joe & Mac 1 and 2.

Songs Wings Reunion English west physical

May 15: Red Art Games has picked up Sonic Wings Reunion for release in the west, the company announced today. It will be available in North America and Europe on October 7 both physically and digitally.

Sonic Wings Reunion is the latest game in Hamster’s shoot ’em up series, which is known as Aero Fighters in the west. Japan is getting the game first later this month.

Red Death, Null Drifter, Project Starship X physical

Red Art Games today announced Bullet Hell Collection: Volume 2, which is a physical release for Red Death, Null Drifter, and Project Starship X. It will be available on November 7, 2025.

Red Death, Null Drifter, and Project Starship X will all be available on a single cartridge. This marks the first time they’ve been made available physically.

Macross Shooting Insight trailer

Macross: Shooting Insight, the first game in the Macross anime series to be released on consoles in the west, has been given a launch trailer. The title left Japan this week after a bit of a wait.
