Necro Pop, a game designed for the NeoGeo, coming to Nintendo Switch

Nalua Studio is hard at work on Necro Pop, and has confirmed plans to bring the game to Nintendo Switch. Look forward to a release date soon.

Necro Pop was originally intended to be a new game for the NeoGeo. The action platformer with dungeon exploration elements will have you gaining new abilities and upgrades along the way as you look to fight back against an evil darkness known as The Gloam.

In the twilight mirror of our world lies the Land of the Dead—not a place of torment, but one of peace, reflection, and rest. You are Poppi, a Soul Keeper, sworn to protect lost spirits and guide them gently into their afterlife.

A glowing-eyed Soul Keeper from the Land of the Dead—stylish, determined, and deeply caring. When the souls under your watch began to vanish, you did what no one else dared: You crossed into the Land of the Living, erupting through a grave portal, armed with soul-magic, charm, and a fierce heart. You may be undead, but you’ve never felt more alive.

• Rescue Souls: Each lost soul you find is a quirky NPC, needing comfort, courage, or cleverness to be returned home. Some gift you powers. Others tell pieces of the world’s forgotten story.
• Monsters Made of Souls: Each enemy is a soul twisted by The Gloam—part memory, part nightmare, part grotesque new form.
• Soul Powers and Combat: Wield mysterious soul-based abilities, unleash deadly attacks, and master unique movement modes to traverse and fight your way through corrupted landscapes.
• Five Zones: Secret areas to discover. Each level has at least three secret collectible souls to find.
