Dinkum reveals Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, “Animal Tracks” update out today
Today, Krafton unveiled a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for Dinkum, and it’s out now. Those who own the Nintendo Switch version can upgrade for free.
The cozy survival life sim is also releasing its “Animal Tracks” update, previously released for Steam players, on Nintendo platforms today. This brings along new animals, a breeding system, and a customizable Train mount.
Here’s some additional information regarding what’s included in the update:
- Animal Breeding System: Players can now raise offspring by obtaining the new Animal Breeding Licence. With this addition, farms can grow more naturally, and livestock can be managed over generations. Two new farm animals, the Rooster and Penguin, join the roster, while new wild creatures such as the Vombull, Plunk, and Boaricoot appear across the island for players to discover and tame.
- New Mount “Train”: Adding to Dinkum’s sense of adventure, the new Train mount lets players build their own railway systems. Crafted through the NPC Franklyn, the Train allows full customization of tracks, bridges, and routes, offering new ways to traverse the island. Players can connect straight and curved tracks or install bridges across terrain, while the new Conductor Set outfit adds a playful touch to customization.
- Quality-of-life improvements: The update also introduces several enhancements and new items, including:
- Auto Placer: Automatically feeds materials into nearby crafting or processing devices like the BBQ or Furnace.
- New Resources: Items such as Native Bread and Earth Worms add more depth to daily activities and crafting.
We have one final piece of news about the game. Starting April 22 in North America and April 23 in Europe, the game will be sold for 20 percent off.
