Ecco the Dolphin remaster

The previously-teased remaster of the classic SEGA action adventure game Ecco the Dolphin is apparently bound for Nintendo Switch.

That information comes from this week’s issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu. In the two-page spread, Nintendo Switch is the only listed platform for the project. A release on that system would make sense, and it’s certainly capable of handling it. 

Gunvolt Chronicles Luminous Avenger iX 1+2 Dual Collection

Today, Inti Creates unveiled Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 1+2 Dual Collection for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. A release is planned for July 9, 2026.

The package bundles together both games in the Luminous Avenger iX series complete with all DLC. Additionally, there’s a new Endless Battle mode and balance adjustments for each title.

Treachery in Beatdown City physical

For those interested in a physical release of Treachery in Beatdown City, this is now happening thanks to Limited Run Games.

The company is planning a standard version, so there won’t be any special editions. Each copy includes the game along with a booklet (and the box of course).

TMNT Splintered Fate Alopex DLC

Super Evil Megacorp today unveiled new DLC for TMNT: Splintered Fate which will bring Alopex to the game, along with a free update.

Alopex, a powerful ninja assassin, is the game’s first female playable character. The DLC also comes with five new artifacts, including all-new alien pal, Buddy the Wraith. For free content, players can get their hands on four fresh Pepper challenges and a new prestige system plus additional combat rooms and quality-of-life improvements.

The full rundown of everything that’s planned is as follows:

September 16: Idea Factory will localize Homura: The Crimson Warriors for English release in the west, the company announced today. It will be available in 2026.

The title originally debuted as Kurenai no Homura: Sanada Ninpou Chou on the PS Vita in 2018. A Nintendo Switch version followed in February 2024 in Japan.

Mouse P.I. For Hire delayed

Mouse: P.I. For Hire is seeing a bit of a delay. A new release date has been set, and it’s coming out on April 16, 2026. It was previously planned for March 19, 2026 across all platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.

Thankfully, this won’t be a massive delay. The team will be taking a few extra weeks to make the game “an experience to remember.” As expected given the title was coming soon, it’s in the final stages of development.

If you missed out on the first-party Nintendo Switch games sale that started last week and just ended yesterday, you’ll be happy to hear that another one has started up.

Best Buy is leading the charge on this one. A number of titles that were previously discounted have returned, but there are some new ones, including Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD. Both physical and digital versions are available.

There’s a shift with the first few spots, but EA Sports FC 26 is overall the top spot. For Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives, Mario Kart World is back to leading Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives. Mario Tennis Fever falls from #2 to #7.

Formula Legends physical 1

Formula Legends is receiving a physical release on Nintendo Switch with a Legacy Edition, according to retailers. It’s listed for June 4, 2026 with Microids in charge of distribution.

Formula Legends: Legacy Edition includes the main game and 8 pieces of DLC. Additionally, a poster and lithographs are packed in as physical bonuses.

Pokemon Pokopia

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart outlining what Japanese gamers are looking forward to based on reader votes. As has been the case lately, Pokemon Pokopia is still on top for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch games.
