Best Pokemon games ranked

Today, we’re going over the best Pokemon games of all time – more specifically, the top 10 main series Pokemon games. The list has been updated for March 2026 since its original publish date in 2024 in celebration of the series’ 30th anniversary. Spin-offs don’t count for this particular list, but there are definitely plenty of those that are more than worth playing in the modern day. New Pokemon Snap and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon are some commonly-acknowledged highlights.

The Pokemon series is, in a way, difficult to write about. At present, the series isn’t quite in a lull, per se, but it’s also most certainly not at its peak. Developing games is difficult, and for a never-ending media franchise like Pokemon, deadlines can be tough to meet. Over the past few years, titles like Sword and Shield and especially Scarlet and Violet have drawn criticism for several reasons. Though the design quality of individual Pokemon has remained strong, things like the graphics, performance, and postgame content have become somewhat inconsistent. This leads us to ask: what do you think are the best Pokemon games of all time? We’ve made our own list, so be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Indie World Showcase March 2026

Nintendo will host a new Indie World Showcase tomorrow, March 3, the company just announced. It will air at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe.

Expect the event to be about 15 minutes of long. Upcoming games for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch will be shown off here.

Below is where you’ll be able to watch the event:

This week’s expanded Japanese software sales are as follows:

Moonlight Peaks

Today, XSEED Games and Little Chicken announced that Moonlight Peaks will be appearing on both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. The game will be out on July 7, 2026.

Moonlight Peaks is a supernatural life sim. While playing as a vampire in a magical town, you’ll raise mystical crops, learn spell-casting and potion-making, and befriend/romance the local werewolves, witches, and mermaids.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending February 28, 2026 is now available.

Resident Evil Requiem was a huge release last week, and it’s no surprise that it lands at #1. The sales split is where things get interesting – it was 54 percent for PS5, 36 percent for PC, 6 percent for Xbox, and 4 percent for Nintendo Switch 2. While that may seem disappointing, we’re hearing that the Nintendo Switch 2 version did more in its first week than Mario Tennis Fever and was about the same as what Cyberpunk 2077 did last year.

There are a couple of other factors to consider as well. Capcom also sold the Resident Evil Generation Pack on Nintendo Switch 2 – that’s third here. And Requiem is also a game-key card, which may limit physical sales (the chart doesn’t account for digital).

The other new release was Tales of Berseria Remastered. For that one, the split was 54 percent PS5, 38 percent Nintendo Switch, and 8 percent Xbox.
