Monster Hunter Stories 3 was the big new release of the month, and while it seemingly did well, it ends up in second. To the surprise of no one, Pokemon Pokopia claims the top spot.

January 19: Kletka is set to appear on Nintendo Switch, publisher Sobaka Studio and developer Callback announced today. Fans can grab the game on February 19, 2026.

Kletka is a co-op horror title. In the game involving an elevator that is trying to eat you, you’ll feed it, explore deadly floors, and descend deeper.

It was the battle of two new releases this week: Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream and Pokemon Champions. It’s the former that manages to come out on first with pre-loads alone – the game won’t be out until next week. That means Pokemon Champions is in second with its Starter Pack.

Galdra Studios just brought out Arcadia Fallen 2, and we have a new trailer to celebrate the launch. The roleplay visual novel has now received a sequel on Nintendo Switch.

A new launch trailer is in for the brutal 80’s sci-fi action platformer ChainStaff. This one comes from Mommy’s Best Games, led by veteran ex-Insomniac Games and Serious Sam Double D XXL developer Nathan Fouts.

Shadows of the Afterland release date

Today, Aruma Studios nailed down the release date for Shadows of the Afterland on Nintendo Switch. The supernatural mystery experience will be available on May 5, 2026.

Shadows of the Afterland will arrive on the console with full voice acting, detailed pixel art, and seamless possession mechanics, now optimized for the system’s controls. Touchscreen and external mice will be supported.

Death by Scrolling release date

Death by Scrolling received its release date on Nintendo Switch today, and the game is just on the horizon. Look for it on April 16, 2026.

Death by Scrolling, a roguelike RPG, comes from Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert. A Nintendo Switch version was confirmed last October.

We’re a step closer to Neverway’s release date as an update on launch timing was just shared. We now know that the game is due out this October.

Neverway is co-directed by Pedro Medeiros, the artist behind Celeste and TowerFall and Isadora Sophia, previously a senior software engineer at Microsoft who created the game’s Murder Engine. Heidy Motta, who helms operations and community, previously from Celeste and TowerFall, is also involved. Outersloth, the funding arm of Innersloth (Among Us), is funding the project.
