Playgroun Games and Mega Cat Studios are teaming up for a brand new Backyard Baseball game that’s coming to Nintendo Switch, two companies revealed today. Look for it in July.
Backyard Baseball is a reimagining of the sports classic that started out on PC in the 90s. The game is promising new game modes, new features, and more.

Thanks to Digital Foundry, we have technical insight into the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Resident Evil Requiem, including frame rate and resolution. Overall the results from Capcom are impressive with DLSS doing some heavy lifting. The main concern right now is frame rate, as things can be a bit uneven in that department.

Today, Bliss Brain and Implicit Conversions unveiled Robot Anime Geppy-X for Nintendo Switch. The game is heading to Nintendo Switch on July 16, 2026.
70s-style Robot Anime Geppy-X is a remastered version of the fast-paced arcade-style 2D side-scrolling shooter action game. The Japanese cult classic will be making its worldwide debut, and in HD.
A physical release is confirmed for Japan, including a “Special Pack” limited edition. This includes a reissued drama CD and an art book.

Disgaea Mayhem announced for English release in the west

Disgaea Mayhem, which just launched in Japan last month as Kyouran Makaism, has now been confirmed for the west. NIS America is localizing the title for a Summer 2026 launch on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.
Disgaea Mayhem is an action-focused game rather than a tactical RPG. NIS America is planning a limited edition for this one, but note that it’ll be a game-key card on Nintendo Switch 2.

September 12: After it was just announced for Nintendo Switch 2 today, a Resident Evil Requiem graphics comparison has already come in that puts it up against the PS5 version.
We’ll have a better idea about how the game looks and runs on Nintendo’s console, but so far, the results are fairly impressive. There are some changes here and there, but this shows that the system is capable of running current-gen titles. It’s far different from what we used to see with games that were downgraded for Nintendo Switch 1 – and many projects simply couldn’t run on the platform.
