It’s been a long wait for R-Type Tactics 1-2 Cosmos, but we finally have a release date. The game launches for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch on June 18, 2026.
R-Type Tactics 1-2 Cosmos was in development for a number of years and was impacted by multiple delays. Japan just received the remake compilation a couple of weeks ago.

New information has emerged about the impact of Pokemon Pokopia on Nintendo Switch 2 sales.
A few tidbits have been released about the console’s performance in the UK during March. We’re hearing that Nintendo Switch 2 saw a 154 percent increase month-on-month, which was driven by Pokemon Pokopia. That’s according to Nielsen IQ.

Pokemon Pokopia x Ikea collaboration goes live tomorrow featuring a special cloud island

A special Ikea cloud island will be appearing in Pokemon Pokopia beginning April 1, and will run until June 30. This collaboration comes to us through the celebration of Ikea’s 20th anniversary of arriving to Japan.
This Ikea island is to feature special room sets designed by actual Ikea designers. The island is to feature two themed rooms, one being inspired by Pikachu, and another by Snorlax. These special rooms are also going to be recreated in actual participating Japanese Ikea stores as shown in the image above.

Mario Kart World 1.6.0 update out now, patch notes – Bob-omb Blast and much more

Mario Kart World just received a brand new update with version 1.6.0, highlighted by Bob-omb Blast.
Bob-omb Blast, which was previously leaked last month, can now be accessed in Battle Mode. Outside of that, Nintendo has made various adjustments – specifically to Bullet Bill, the boomerang, the probability of items, and the invincibility time after spinning or crashing. There are also a few other adjustments and fixes.

Tetris 99 announces 52nd Maximus Cup with Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 theme [update: trailer]

March 10: Tetris 99 is gearing up for its second major event of the year with its 52nd Maximus Cup, which is bringing along a new theme based on Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. However, it’ll be a few weeks before it’s active.
During the event, players can compete in online battles and collect at least 100 event points to unlock a new in-game theme. Points are earned based on placement in each match. The better you do, the more points you get.

Undertale and Deltarune creator Toby Fox has taken to social media and explained why his games don’t have more translations.
Fox originally released Undertale in English. Following that, he teamed up with Keiko Fuchicho and 8-4 to translate the game into Japanese. The same thing has essentially happened again with Deltarune.

Today, Clear River Games and Tatsujin announced that they’re bringing Truxton Extreme to both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. The title is planned for July 30, 2026.
Truxton Extreme is the 2026 return to the legendary Truxton series, the first new entry in 38 years. Original Truxton mastermind Masahiro Yuge is now returning for a modern evolution of the shoot ’em up genre.

Play-Asia today revealed an exclusive physical release for Telenet Shooting Collection 1 + 2 on Nintendo Switch.
In addition to a standard copy, fans can pick up a limited edition. The latter has a number of extras – specifically an exclusive mini case, PC Engine HuCard design USB stick card, art book, Joy-Con sticker set, character magnet, and numbered certificate of authenticity.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending March 28, 2026 is now available.
Mario Kart World has been sitting towards the top for awhile now, and that’s still the case here. It actually moves from #3 to #2 this week. Other than that, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is back in the top ten thanks to its Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
