Now In Game Channel posted a video today (via GameXplain) that gives us new looks at the prototypes of Super Mario 64 and Kirby Bowl 64. The games were on display at Spaceworld / Shoshinkai ’95.

CharlyCNintendo pointed out a number of differences for Super Mario 64 compared to the final version. The game originally had bigger hitboxes for chests, two types of fish that could spawn in Whomp’s Fortress, and changes with the cannon. Some environments were modified for the final version as well.

Azula revealed Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game

Azula is officially joining Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, it’s been announced.

Azula is one of the main antagonists of the series. She’s a Firebender who’s on a mission to capture Aang and deliver him to Fire Lord Ozai.

Nintendo is planning a day one update for the new Star Fox game on Nintendo Switch 2, the company has confirmed.

The patch is one you’ll want to download as it’s bringing in major features. Battle Mode as well as GameChat character avatars and AR filters will be properly supported with the update.

Exstetra

FuRyu is working on a remaster of Exstetra for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, the company has announced. Launch timing for these platforms will be shared later.

Exstetra is a fantasy RPG that originally launched on Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita over a decade ago. The game never released outside of Japan, but that’ll now be happening – and English will be fully supported.

My Nintendo Super Mario - Yoshi Egg Zipper Pouch

The latest physical reward is now available on My Nintendo, which is the Super Mario – Yoshi Egg Zipper Pouch.

The reward comes just ahead of the launch of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. For those wondering, it measures 9.75″ x 4″.

My Arms are Longer Now

Jackbox Games, along with Toot Games, today announced the upcoming title My Arms are Longer Now. The project is planned for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch with a 2026 release.

Jackbox is known for the Jackbox Party Pack series, but is now giving the publishing route a shot. In My Arms are Longer Now, players will be a “yucky long-armed thief” as they “Snake through levels, retract like a vacuum cord, or put on a sock to seduce a lonely guard – whatever it takes to pull off the perfect heist”.

Coinciding with the launch of Rugrats: Retro Rewind Collection on Nintendo Switch today, we have the launch trailer. You’ll be getting six games (technically eight with different versions) here along with some modern features.
