Let’s Talk

It’s been a few months since the last Indie World Showcase, but a new presentation just took place this week. Nintendo teamed up with a few smaller developers to show off some future games for Switch 2 and Switch.

Since there have been so many of them at this point, fans pretty much know what to expect from Indie Worlds. There are some cool announcements, but nothing earth shattering – they’re not intended to be Nintendo Directs. That said, we were treated to some noteworthy games on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.

The closer was Blue Prince, a game that’s very much welcome on Nintendo platforms after its strong debut last year. That was far from the only interesting title though – we also heard about Minishoot’ Adventures, Blighted, Denshattack, Heave Ho 2, The Midnight Walk, Toem 2, and more. Find the full recap here.

What were your favorite games from the March 2026 Indie World Showcase? Did you pick up any of the shadowdrops? Let us know in the comments.

The latest Pokemon Presents just aired yesterday for Pokemon Day, and it brought along the latest wave of news and announcements for the series.

As expected, the show ended with the reveal of Pokemon Winds and Waves. We got our first in-game look and the starters were shown off. Perhaps the biggest piece of news is that the titles are coming out in 2027 – not 2026 – and yes, they’ll only be on Nintendo Switch 2.

Of course, Pokemon Winds and Waves was only one segment of the show. Various updates were shared on Pokemon Champions, Legends-Z-A, and more. Find a recap of everything shown here.

What did you think of the latest Pokemon Presents presentation? How are you feeling about Pokemon Winds / Waves and the starters so far? Let us know in the comments.

There was a big addition to Nintendo Switch Online this week, which was the Virtual Boy. Many years after the hardware’s original release – arguably the biggest failure in Nintendo’s history – it’s back and you can play select games right now – sort of.

With most classic systems – be it the NES or GameCube – you can play as soon as you download the relevant app. With the Virtual Boy, however, Nintendo has been promoting the purchase of an accessory – either a dedicated option that replicates the original system or a cardboard alternative. This is because the hardware was originally made for stereoscopic 3D.

Have you experienced Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics yet, or do you not have any interest? If you’ve played the games, what are your impressions? Let us know in the comments.

Last week’s Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase delivered a bunch of news for Switch 2 and Switch, but only a few days later, we’ve gotten another round of announcements. That’s because Sony hosted a new PlayStation State of Play. During and after the show, third-parties released trailers confirming that a number of these new games are bound for Nintendo platforms.

There were quite a few heavy hitters announced for the first time, focusing on returning franchises. The lineup includes Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition (which you can play right now), Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, Legacy of Kain: Ascendance and Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered, and Brigandine Abyss.

Out of the revealed titles, which one is your favorite? Which games do you have your eyes on? Let us know in the comments below.

The February 2026 Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase took place this week, delivering the latest news and announcements for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. Nintendo itself was absent, so instead the focus was placed on upcoming third-party games.

A ton of titles were shown, but a lot here had been previously announced or released elsewhere. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok, Super Bomberman Collection, Digimon Story: Time Stranger, Turok: Origins, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Fallout 4, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, Tokyo Scramble, and Tales of Arise were among the featured games. You can find a recap of everything shown here.

Are there any games you’re interested in from this week’s Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase? How would you rate the presentation? Let us know in the comments.

A new month is now here. Now that we’re in February, we want to know what you’ve been playing.

Are you giving the new Nintendo Switch 2 version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade a shot? How about Dynasty Warriors: Origins or Grid: Legends? Maybe the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons update? No matter the case, let us know in the comments below.

Mario Kart World launched at an interesting time. Mario Kart 8 carried Nintendo for years in the Wii U and Nintendo Switch generations and continues to sell even to this day. With how popular the game was, there was a lot of excitement surrounding Mario Kart World. The Nintendo Switch 2 title was well-received overall, but depending on who you ask, it didn’t live up to Mario Kart 8. A bunch of different updates have come out over the past few months, many of which were intended to address some of those criticisms.

Following the various patches that have gone live since launch, how are you feeling about Mario Kart World today? Are you still playing it or have you simply moved on? Let us know in the comments below.

Right now Nintendo has two movies that have been officially announced: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and a live-action film for The Legend of Zelda. Mario is just a couple of months away (give or take), but Zelda will be coming next year.

Nintendo has already indicated that it will be pursuing the movie industry even further. A couple of months ago, president Shuntaro Furukawa teased that the company is “continuing to prepare for the ongoing release of movies in the future.”

So after we see Zelda in 2027, what do you think is next? You’d have to think that we’ll get a third animated Mario movie, but it’s more interesting to think about another franchise Nintendo could tackle. Let us know what your guesses are for the future in the comments.

A new month started up last week. Now that we’re in January (and 2026), we want to know what you’ve been playing.

Given the holiday period and very start of the year, things have been slow for new releases. Still, it’s the perfect time to catch up on games you may have missed. No matter what you’re playing currently, let us know in the comments.

Move over 2025 – we’re officially in the year 2026. A new year brings new hope and excitement, and that pertains to games as well.

Looking strictly at Nintendo, we actually know quite a bit about the company’s slate for 2026. Several titles have been announced to be launching over the next few months. We should be seeing Mario Tennis Fever, Pokemon Pokopia, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, Rhythm Heaven Groove, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, Fire Emblem: Fortune Weave, Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, and Splatoon Raiders. Technically that last one hasn’t been confirmed for 2026, but we’d be surprised if it was a 2027 game.

With everything that’s been announced – from Nintendo and other companies – what’s your most anticipated game of 2026? Let us know in the comments.
