A new Direct for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct will air on Monday, March 9, Nintendo just announced. It will air at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET.

Yakuza series chief director Ryosuke Horii has spoken about why it’s so important for the Yakuza series to be represented on Nintendo Switch 2.

SEGA has slowly been bringing over the franchise’s different games since the console launched last year. This continued with Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties last month. It was notable since for the first time, the series had a new game launching day and date on a Nintendo system alongside other platforms.

Nikkei xTrend recently asked Horii about Yakuza coming to Nintendo Switch 2. Although he’s unsure if the series will sell well on the console immediately, he believes potential fans could pick up the games down the road and the approach allows SEGA to broaden its reach.

Director Masahiro Sakurai was behind the lyrics of the main theme song in Kirby Air Riders, he’s revealed. That news comes from an interview that just went up on Nintendo’s website.

Sakurai said that he hadn’t spoke about this previously because he believes “you shouldn’t have that work’s world associated with a single person.” He added that he wouldn’t like it “if people thought that the world of Kirby Air Riders was a certain way because I’m the one who made it.”

Sakurai explained in the interview:
