Killing Time: Resurrected 2.0 update

Today, Nightdive came out with a new version 2.0 update for Killing Time: Resurrected. Nintendo Switch players can download the patch now.

Some new content is included as Nightdive has implemented the original 3DO levels. Outside of that, a ton of different fixes are in.

The full rundown is as follows:

Features

  • 3DO TC Mod added with two full campaigns: Experience the original 3DO levels or an enhanced, remastered campaign with more areas and secrets to find.
  • Original Logicware PC-version maps added as a separate campaign.
  • Some actors will randomly mirror their animations when defeated, similar to the 3DO version of the game.

Fixes

  • Avoid potential crash when enemies teleport.
  • Reverted patch 1 change to weapon bobbing behavior which caused discontinuous motion.
  • “Use” action can now activate swinging doors and other 3D objects.
  • “Turn left”, “turn right”, “look up”, “look down”, and “center view” action bindings now function when using a keyboard.
  • Player should no longer become stuck in some swinging doors.
  • Text displayed on automap now immediately updates if user changes their language setting.
  • Improved remembering changes to user language setting on restart.
  • Key art splash screen, credits, and “Loading” interstitial display correct background when language setting is not English.
  • A smaller font is used for some languages on the automap.
  • Selection of items in control boxes within the UI should be more reliable when navigating with a controller.
  • Dropped items no longer display z-fighting against the actor that dropped them.
  • Shooting Tess before she begins speaking will no longer skip her monologue.
  • Final caption of intro movie appears on screen longer.
  • Positioning of floor lamp and hanging meat decor objects improved.
  • Amount of health lost by picking up red health spheres is displayed dynamically.
  • Tess and Duncan can now telefrag the player if they are directly on their spawn spots, preventing softlocks.
  • Use of arrow keys is more intuitively notated on the character naming screen.
  • Switches retain the correct animation frame across texture quality changes.
  • The minimum value for contrast is now 0.1 instead of 0.
  • Initial interaction screen responds to any button press.
  • Clown reloading animation only appears on loads that take longer than 100 ms.
  • Most menu actions no longer auto-repeat when an input is held down.
  • Gaps in many wall textures have been fixed.
  • It is now possible to select “Go Back” in the achievements menu when navigating with a controller.
  • Main menu navigation order is more intuitive.
  • Language setting should be properly reflected more often in menus.
