Pokemon Pokopia leads to 154% Nintendo Switch 2 sales boost in the UK
New information has emerged about the impact of Pokemon Pokopia on Nintendo Switch 2 sales.
A few tidbits have been released about the console’s performance in the UK during March. We’re hearing that Nintendo Switch 2 saw a 154 percent increase month-on-month, which was driven by Pokemon Pokopia. That’s according to Nielsen IQ.
Note that March was a five-week month while February was a four-week month. However, it’s still a strong bump and it really amounts to three extra days of data.
Also revealed today is that Nintendo accounts for over 50 percent of all consoles sold in the UK so far this year. That also comes from Nielsen.
Pokemon Pokopia has come out of the gates very strong. In its first four days, it was announced that the game had sold over 2.2 million copies worldwide.
