Eyes of the ElderWood, a first-person horror adventure game, heading to Nintendo Switch
Forever Entertainment and Virtual Sanctuary intend to launch Eyes of the ElderWood on Nintendo Switch, they’ve announced. For the time being release timing is being kept under wraps.
Eyes of the ElderWood is a first-person horror adventure game tied to Kashubian folklore. Players will draw spells to solve puzzles and take down enemies, or fight with a revolver.
Additional details can be found in the following overview:
Whisperers, hear the call of the ElderWood. From the fog-laden marshes and the whispered warnings of old Kashubian villages, we bring you news etched in bark and sealed in forgotten ritual.
A new pact has been forged. Forever Entertainment has become the publisher of Eyes Of The ElderWood – a first-person adventure horror rooted in the myths, beliefs, and rituals of Slavic folklore slated for Switch at some point in the future. The old stories have never truly disappeared. Now, they take shape.
The forest speaks. Will you listen?
The creatures that stalk these lands come from Slavic legend – each demon born of local myth, carrying its own history, its own hunger. Some fall to magic. Some to iron. Some cannot be killed at all. This fight is not that easy.
Combat weaves together hand-drawn spells and a revolver – magic to reveal, manipulate, and weaken; bullets for what remains.
Every location – abandoned villages, sunken forests, houses that should no longer stand – carries its own rules, its own darkness. The further you walk, the less stable the ground beneath you becomes. Reality here is not guaranteed.
Your mind, too, is not safe. Certain beings feed not on flesh, but on perception. The sanity system bends what you see and hear, until hallucinations and truth become indistinguishable. In the deepest corners of madness, something worse awaits.
The world is rendered in the weathered aesthetic of early 2000s horror – vertex lighting casting long shadows, audio crushed and compressed like a memory half-remembered.
