WiZmans World Re;Try launch trailer – DS game comes to Nintendo Switch

A launch trailer has been released for WiZmans World Re;Try. After it first came to the DS in 2010 as a Japan-only title, it’s now here on Nintendo Switch with a worldwide launch.

Originally a 2010 Japan-exclusive for the Nintendo DS, WiZmans World Re;Try marks the first time players worldwide can experience the dark, tactical journey of the wizard Claus in high definition. With enhanced 2D pixel art and significant quality-of-life improvements, WiZmans World Re;Try is a dark, alchemic JRPG that bridges the gap between retro charm and modern gameplay.

Set in the isolated city of Wizarest, a town trapped in a century-old mystery and surrounded by shifting, monster-infested dungeons, bold adventurers step into the shoes of a young wizard, Claus. Following the disappearance of his mentor, Giselle, it’s up to Claus and his trio of homunculus companions to uncover the secrets of the dungeon and the shroud of mystery around the forgotten city.

As you venture through the twists and turns of the dungeons you’ll encounter monsters who, if defeated, can have their souls absorbed by your homunculi companions through “Anima Fusion”, thus evolving their stats, abilities and appearance. How you advance through WiZmans World Re;Try affects your companions, the storyline and even the fate of the world.
