Medabots Card Robattle RB announced for Nintendo Switch
Medabots is back on Nintendo Switch with Imagineer announcing Medabots Card Robattle RB today. In Japan, a release is planned for June 25, 2026.
Medabots Card Robattle RB will be sold with a Kabuto Version and a Kuwagata Version. With the former, you’ll get a shooting-type deck while the later is fighting-type. Both versions have a few exclusive cards as well, though they can be obtained through the Versus Battle mode.
Thanks to Imagineer, we have the following details:
This is a brand new card game for Nintendo Switch that utilizes familiar elements of the Medabots series, such as mecha, parts, and medals, to allow players to enjoy deep and strategic robot battles (Robattles).
The unique tactics of Medabots, such as combining parts and medals and knowing when to use the special move “Medaforce,” have been recreated as a card game. While carrying on the traditions of the series, the infinite strategic possibilities of deck construction bring out the new appeal of Robattles.
There are over 400 cards in the game. The fun of collecting a wide variety of cards and building your own ultimate deck is the best part of this game. Not only popular Medabots from the past but also many Medarotters will be participating as cards. This is a luxurious lineup that will be irresistible to long-time fans of the series.
The game offers a wide range of play modes, including a single-player mode and online battles, allowing you to take on friends in far-flung locations or rivals from around the country in thrilling robot battles using your best decks.
In addition, a thorough tutorial is provided, so even those new to card games and children can enjoy heated battles with peace of mind.
Mode Introduction
- Robattle Challenge: A mode where you battle a variety of unique opponents, “Medal Card Fighters,” in a variety of terrains, such as forests and rocky areas. Plan your strategy while taking into account the terrain and the decks your opponents are using.
- Robattle Tower: In the “Rabottle Tower,” you battle continuously as you ascend through the floors. The medal card fighters and terrain on each floor change randomly each time you play, so aim to conquer it by using a deck that suits the situation. There are four towers with different difficulty levels: “Easy,” “Normal,” “Hard,” and “Endless.” If you lose, you will start from the bottom floor.
- Online battles: We have implemented “network battles” via an internet connection and “local battles” where you can play with a nearby Nintendo Switch console.
