Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game is receiving a brand new Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, it’s been announced. Players can access it starting March 25, 2026.

As of now it’s unclear what this new version will offer. However, technical upgrades are expected. We also know it’ll be a free upgrade from the original Nintendo Switch version.

Relish in the outdoors by tending to your garden, fishing at serene ponds, and foraging wild bounty in the peaceful forests. Trade goods amongst townsfolk and foster relationships that turn into forever friendships. Your arrival marks the start of your story, which you can play at your own pace. It’s up to you to complete the Tales, or simply explore and thrive in your cosy Hobbit life for as long as you wish.
