WayForward has gone live with a launch trailer for the Pirate Queen’s Quest DLC in Shantae: Half-Genie Hero. It’s out now for Kickstarter backers, and will be available for everyone else next week to purchase. Watch the trailer below.

Pirate Queen’s Quest for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero doesn’t officially come out until next week, but some backers are already getting their hands on the DLC. Get a look at some footage below.

The big Pirate Queen’s Quest DLC for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is just on the horizon. It’ll be out on August 29, WayForward has announced.

The studio wrote in a brief tweet:


Pirate Queen’s Quest will be free to Kickstarter backers. WayForward will also offer the DLC as paid content.

WayForward posted a big update about Shantae: Half-Genie Hero on Kickstarter yesterday. The studio offered some news about the game’s upcoming DLC.

First, Pirate Queen’s Quest is finished. The Risky Boots DLC has been submitted to Nintendo, so the release date shouldn’t be far away. The DLC is free for backers, and WayForward wants those who supported the project to be in a position to play Pirate Queen’s Quest early.

More footage is in for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero’s upcoming Pirate Queen’s Quest campaign. An area featuring Mermaid Falls is attached below.

In Japan, Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star has received a limited edition on Switch. It features a copy of the game, an Aruko Wada-designed special box, and a Nero Travel Pouch. The full contents are unboxed in the video below.

Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star has made its way to Europe, and will be available in North America next Tuesday. We’ve gone ahead and included the game’s launch trailer below.
