Pokemon Home Scarlet Violet compatibility

Original (5/18): It’s been announced that Pokemon Home will be updated to version 3.0.0 next week, which will add compatibility for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. The patch goes live on May 23, 2023.

Once players link their game to Pokemon Home, they’ll be able to move creatures over and bring select Pokemon from other games to the Paldea region. The Tera Type of Pokemon transferred to Scarlet and Violet from other titles will be determined by their original type or types.

A new update for Pokemon Home has just released, bringing the app to version 2.1.0. This patch specifically affects the mobile version of the app, with the Switch version remaining untouched for now.

This new update focuses around adding further Pokemon Scarlet and Violet integration for the app, specifically by making Ranked Battle data from those games viewable within the app. On top of addressing other small issues, it’s also providing a similar feature for Pokemon Sword and Shield, allowing players to view battle results from those titles.

Here are the full patch notes for Pokemon Home’s version 2.1.0 update:

Pokemon bans

The Pokemon Company announced today that it has started handing out new bans relating to the Pokemon games on Switch as well as Pokemon Home for those that have been involved with illegally modified data.

The announcement mentioned how this data can bring about issues with the games and apps. As a result, some users may find that they will not be able to access online play for the Pokemon games as well as internet functionality for Pokemon Home. Bans may be either limited or indefinite, and there will be no refunds. However, keep in mind that the bans only affect Pokemon releases – no other titles on Switch will be impacted. The Pokemon Company may also take similar action in the future without notice.

Pokemon Home update 2.0.3

A new Pokemon Home update has been released, with the app now at version 2.0.3. Keep in mind that this patch only appears to be available on mobile and not on Switch.

The new update is primarily about addressing issues. On top of that, there’s been a very small text change.

Pokemon Home update 2.0.1

Pokemon Home has gained a new 2.0.1 update. This follows the big 2.0.0 patch that brought along support for Pokemon Legends: Arceus and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl.

We have the official Pokemon Home version 2.0.1 update patch notes for both Switch and mobile below:

Pokemon Home update 2.0.0

Pokemon Home is slowly starting to roll out its big 2.0.0 update. Eventually it should go live on all supported platforms, but we’ve at least been able to confirm that it’s available on Switch as well as iOS.

Keep in mind that Pokemon Home is undergoing maintenance for the next few hours. That means even after you download the update, you won’t be able to access the app until it finishes.

After revealing last week that compatibility with Pokemon Legends: Arceus and Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl is being planned for Pokemon Home, The Pokemon Company have today announced that maintenance has been scheduled for tomorrow to implement this. This is scheduled to last from 00:00 UTC – 06:00 UTC, with the possibility of it lasting into May 19 to reduce server strain. Full details below:

pokemon home update legends arceus brilliant diamond shining pearl

The Pokemon Company today announced that the big 2.0.0 update is coming soon to Pokemon Home. Once installed, it will support Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, and Pokemon Shining Pearl.

The new update will allow fans to deposited and withdraw Pokémon from these titles, as well as other prior games. That means you could take a Pikachu from Sword and Shield and put it in a different release such as Pokemon Legends: Arceus. However, “transferring Pokemon to a game they were not originally caught in may cause certain changes to known moves, level, and what type of Poké Ball they were caught in.”
