Monster Hunter Stories 3

Monster Hunter Stories 3 review

System: Switch
Release date: March 13, 2026
Developer: Capcom
Publisher: Capcom

For many years, Monster Hunter has been about slaying towering creatures and using their parts to slay even more massive behemoths. The Monster Hunter Stories series flips that idea on its head, instead letting players befriend, raise, and fight alongside those same creatures. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection continues that tradition, offering a new perspective on the world and culture that makes the series’ universe so compelling – but is the world just as thrilling when the goal isn’t to slay monsters, but to bond with them?

March 5: Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is only a week away, and Capcom has now shared information about save data link bonuses and free DLC. We also have a launch trailer for the RPG.

Here’s the latest information from Capcom:

Capcom has come out with the latest trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, which focuses on the game’s story.

The description teases: “There’s something out there beyond anything we can imagine, and that something is the source of the Encroachment. As calamity closes in from all angles, it’s your duty to pick up the torch and see it through.”

Monster Hunter Stories 3 graphics comparison

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection has been given a new graphics comparison video for its Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series S, and PS5 versions. This is based on the new demo that just debuted a few days ago.

Right now the main concern with the Nintendo Switch 2 version is the game’s frame rate. Performance isn’t a massive issue when docked, but in portable mode, there are more drops below 30 FPS – hopefully a patch will tidy things up. It is worth noting that on Nintendo Switch 2, the frame rate is more stable compared to Xbox Series S when docked. The frame rate isn’t really perfect on any platform due to a lack of a cap.

As of today, Monster Hunter Stories 3 fans can grab a new demo on Nintendo Switch 2. Capcom will release it on the Nintendo eShop.

The demo provides access to the opening chapters of the game. Players can edit the appearance of the Protagonist to their liking, try out the new battle systems, such as Wyvernsoul Gauge and Synchro Rush, and experience the duties of a Ranger, such as Habitat Restoration. Progress transfers to the full version.

Capcom has release a new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. The game is slated for March 13, 2026 on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 release date

September 12: Monster Hunter Stories 3, which was announced not too long ago, has already secured its release date. Capcom will have it ready to go on March 13, 2026.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 was first shown off in a previous Nintendo Direct. However, it was initially given a vague 2026 launch window.

Capcom has shared the latest information about the game:

September 25: There technically hasn’t been an official announcement, but it looks like fans can expect new amiibo for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.

Capcom is at the 2025 Tokyo Game Show this week, and the company has three new figures on display. Specifically, there are three that are being shown off. This is especially interesting as we haven’t heard about any of them – until now. It does make sense as Capcom supported the series’ previous entries with amiibo.
