Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment has sound major talent behind its music, as it’s revealed that the same team behind the NieR soundtrack worked on this one.
Now that the Nintendo Switch 2 game has launched, the Monaca website has been updated. There’s now a clear slot for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment on there.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment has started to launch in certain regions, and a version 1.0.1 update has gone live. If you’ve pre-loaded the game, you should see the patch.
For the most part, bug fixes are included here. Aside from that though, a new shortcut feature has been added.

The first wave of reviews for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment are now starting to come in. Nintendo just lifted an embargo on the Switch 2 game with the launch happening in just a couple of days.
Age of Imprisonment is the third entry in the Hyrule Warriors series, and the second one tied to the Zelda: Breath of the Wild / Tears of the Kingdom universe. This time around, players can experience the true story of Ganondorf’s invasion that was briefly shown in Tears of the Kingdom. Nintendo has previous said that the plot here is canonical.

Koei Tecmo shared the latest information about Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment today, which covers five characters: Argusta, Kia, Krafika, Ardi, and Lanaria. These are all Sages plus Lenalia, who is Zelda’s maid.

A little more than a month before launch, the first gameplay has come in for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. Ten minutes of footage has emerged from the 2025 Tokyo Game Show demo. Everything here is in direct-feed.
All of the footage highlights a level from the Depths. We get looks at Princess Zelda, Mineru, and Rauru battling it out against enemies.

September 13: It doesn’t appear that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will have a special edition in the west, but in Japan, a Treasure Box has been revealed.
This will include the game as well as several extras. Players will receive a scarf, cloth poster, acrylic standee, wood keychain, and a pair of clear sheets. Although the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment Treasure Box won’t be coming west, we’ll let you know if we see import pre-orders as Nintendo Switch 2 is region-free.
