Neptunia: Unlimited

Today, Compile Heart unveiled Neptunia: Unlimited, which is planned for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. It’s first debuting in Japan on August 27, 2026. Expect a western release and a finalized English name later.

Neptunia: Unlimited is arriving over a decade after the last mainline entry in the series. It’s also the first game in the franchise for Nintendo Switch 2.

Compile Heart has released a wealth of new information for Villion: Code, as well as dropping the opening movie, some new screenshots, and a couple of BGMs. Both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 users can expect this game to release on June 25, 2026 in Japan.

Ariana and the Elder Codex demo

Ariana and the Elder Codex is still a month away from its debut in the west, but fans can try out the game now thanks to a new demo that has gone live on Nintendo Switch.

The demo introduces Librarian Ariana’s mission and drops the player inside the Codex of Earth, one of The Seven Hero Codices accessible early in the full game. Players can use various magic spells and abilities to traverse the Codex that brings earth magic to the world, battling against enemies as you make your way to the guardian of the Codex of Earth, the Colossus of Catastrophe.

Birushana Winds of Fate

November 12: Today, Idea Factory has announced that it will release Birushana: Winds of Fate on Nintendo Switch in English for fans in the west. Look forward to it in 2026.

Birushana: Winds of Fate is an otome visual novel fan disc. It includes nine routes in total, and fans can see what life is like after the war has ended as protagonist Shanao spends her life with one of the love interests from the first game, or return to the time of war and get to know four new love interests.

Villion: Code

January 27: This week’s issue of Famitsu has revealed Villion: Code, which is in the works for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. A release is planned for June 25, 2026 in Japan.

This is a new school RPG from Kouji Okada, the co-creator of Megami Tensei and Persona. It takes place in a university town of an isolated island floating in Tokyo Bay in the near future. Here students and teachers who have mutated into monsters are present. The game features procedurally generated dungeons and there’s “real-time speed action” combat”.

Temirana The Lucky Princess and the Tragic Knights trailer

Idea Factory has released a launch trailer for Temirana: The Lucky Princess and the Tragic Knights. Just recently, the otome visual novel shipped outside of Japan.

Ariana and the Elder Codex

October 23: Idea Factory is bringing Ariana and the Elder Codex to Nintendo Switch in the west with a full English localization, the publisher just announced. A release is scheduled for 2026.

Ariana and the Elder Codex was originally made by Compile Heart and Hyde. In Japan, it came out in August as Magical Librarian Ariana: The Books of the Seven Heroes.

Idea Factory has come through with a release date for Calamity Angels: Special Delivery. In North America and Europe, it’s arriving on February 17, 2026.

After it was announced at the start of the year, Calamity Angels: Special Delivery was initially planned for this summer in the west. However, Idea Factory later announced a delay.

February 13: Today, Idea Factory and Compile Heart announced Calamity Angels: Special Delivery for worldwide launch on Nintendo Switch. It will be available this summer.

Calamity Angels: Special Delivery is a delivery service RPG. Kei Nanameda, known for his previous work on the Mary Skelter and Death end re;Quest series, is contributing visuals to the project.

Magical Librarian Ariana: The Books of the Seven Heroes

May 19: Compile Heart and Hyde are bringing Magical Librarian Ariana: The Books of the Seven Heroes to Nintendo Switch, the two sides have announced. A release is planned for August 21, 2025 in Japan – the western version should follow later.

Magical Librarian Ariana: The Books of the Seven Heroes is a side-scrolling action RPG. In the game, Ariana will need to use her special magic to enter books and repair them while solving the mystery hidden in the library.
