Capcom comments on the possibility of a Mega Man Legends collection
Capcom has been bringing out a bunch of different collections for Mega Man over the past several years, but the Mega Man Legends sub-series hasn’t been given the same treatment. Could that change one day?
Capcom’s Shingo Izumi commented on the possibility in an interview with RPG Site. The bad news is that according to Izumi, nothing is currently planned. However, a Mega Man Legends collection could be brought up “when we consider new collection projects in the future”.
Izumi’s full words:
“At this time, there are no plans to do so. However, as mentioned in a prior response, when we consider new collection projects in the future, a Mega Man Legends collection would also be one of the possible candidates.”
The original Mega Man Legends appeared on the N64 many years ago, though the system never received the sequel. Capcom was also planning Mega Man Legends 3 for Nintendo 3DS back in the day, but it was cancelled.
Meanwhile, the next collection we’ll be seeing is Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, which is coming out later this month. You can learn more about it here.
