Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered announced for Nintendo Switch 2, Switch [update: release date]

February 12: Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered was just announced, and it’s seeing release on both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. It’s arriving for both platforms on March 3, 2026.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered marks the return of the 2003 classic. For the remaster, there’ll be updated graphics, camera upgrades, a graphics and camera toggle to switch between the new version and original graphics at any point, world and level maps, unlockable skins drawn from across Legacy of Kain history, a Photo Mode, and lore and archival content.

March 3: It seems that the Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch versions have been delayed. In the latest announcement sent out today, the game is said to be “coming soon” to both platforms. When we have a new date, we’ll let you know.
