Horizon Chase Turbo delisted

Time is running out to pick up Horizon Chase Turbo from the Nintendo eShop as it’s been announced that the game is getting delisted. Nintendo Switch will be affected, but the news applies to other platforms as well.

Horizon Chase Turbo will be pulled on June 1, 2026. After that date, it’ll be gone from the store. However, those who already made a purchase will be able to redownload the title moving forward.

It’s not immediately clear why the move is being made. That said, it’s worth noting that Epic Games just announced that it’s laying off over 1,000 employees, and Aquiris Game Studio was acquired by the company in 2023.

Horizon Chase originally hit Nintendo Switch back in 2018. Below is an overview of the game:

Horizon Chase Turbo is a racing game inspired by the great hits of the 80’s and 90’s: Out Run, Top Gear, Rush and others. Race your way through the opponents and master the circuits as you relive the classic arcade gameplay with unbound speed limits of fun.

Share a couch with your family and friends and relive the old times of playing in Split-Screen Multiplayer all night long, in any of the game modes.

Horizon Chase Turbo has a retro soul in a modern body. You’ll drive your car through extraordinary places, watching the sunset, facing rain, snow, harsh sandstorms and even a volcanic eruption.

Horizon Chase Turbo presents Barry Leitch, the musician behind the soundtracks of classic racing games Lotus Turbo Challenge, Top Gear and Rush.

We’ll mention that today’s news doesn’t apply to the sequel, Horizon Chase, which is also on Nintendo Switch. You can learn more about that game here.
