Firework, a story-driven horror puzzle game, slated for Nintendo Switch
Gamirror Games will be publishing Firework on Nintendo Switch in just a few days, the company just announced. It’ll be out on April 16, 2026.
Firework is a horror-mystery narrative game made by Shiying Studio. The title is set against a backdrop of Chinese folk culture and traditions.
Further information can be found in the following overview:
The story begins with the murder of an entire family in a remote mountain town. As the investigation unfolds, players are drawn into a web of complex relationships involving rookie police officer Lin Lixun, volunteer teacher Chen Qingsui, doctor Ye Jingshan, and the four members of the Tian family. Through its layered narrative and carefully developed cast, Firework gradually reveals the truth behind the case — leading to something far more unsettling than a simple criminal investigation.
Originally developed using RPG Maker, Firework also faced a number of technical challenges during its transition to Nintendo Switch. Thanks to the joint efforts of the development and porting teams, players around the world will soon be able to experience this haunting Eastern mystery in a more accessible format.
Blending psychological tension with culturally grounded storytelling and a deeply human narrative, Firework offers a horror experience driven as much by atmosphere and emotion as by fear itself.
