SAN FRANCISCO – March 31, 2010 – Today Ubisoft announced that the worldwide hit video game Just Dance , which launched in mid-November 2009, has sold through more than two million units worldwide, becoming the fastest-selling new intellectual property from a third-party publisher on Wii™. Developed by Ubisoft Paris, Just Dance is the first real music video game in which up to four people can break it down at a time, as they follow on-screen choreographed moves set to classic dance tracks, entertaining spectators along the way. Just Dance features an incredible track list with more than 30 famous tunes from the ’60s to today, including songs by Katy Perry, MC Hammer and the Spice Girls.
Just Dance has consistently danced into the top of the video game charts in recent months, spending time in the top ten in most European and North American territories. According to NPD data, Just Dance is the best-selling music/rhythm game for Wii™ in the U.S. from December 2009 through February 2010, and is on track to maintain its sales momentum for the month of March 2010. The title hit No. 1 and remained there for several weeks in the very competitive U.K. market, beating well-established hardcore video game franchises.

Wondering what the narrator was saying in the Xenoblade trailer we just posted? Well, take a look below to get a better understanding!
“Long ago, when this world was nothing more than endless sea and unbroken sky no matter where you went, two giant gods were born — Kyoshin and Kishin. The gods fought for their lives. And then, they became corpses. Now, after many tens of thousands of days and nights…Our world, the land that expands atop the corpse of the Kyoshin.”

Miyamoto: 2010 is a great year for the hardcore Nintendo fan

The following comes from a Computer and Videogames interview with Shigeru Miyamoto:
“This year’s going to be really great for the hardcore Nintendo player, especially with Super Mario Galaxy 2. It’s action-packed software and when I say action-packed software, it’s not just going to show you [pre-set] action movements in the 3D format. Rather, this is action-packed software that you can manipulate with your own will and your own control. I really want many households to be able to have a hands-on experience of Mario Galaxy 2. [Elsewhere] I didn’t have any involvement in Metroid Other M, but it is on its way. And also we are working on the New Legend Of Zelda for Wii. So from this year to the next, I hope that the hardcore-type gamers are really looking forward to the multiple Nintendo titles on Wii. And also, we are working on the [new] Pikmin.” – Shigeru Miyamoto
I definitely agree with Miyamoto on this one! Zelda Wii, Galaxy 2, Other M, Pikmin 3… There’s so many ‘core’ Nintendo titles coming out in the next year or so! It’s a good year to be a Wii owner indeed!
