This information comes from Nintendo Power…

– Made specifically for Wii
– Over-the-top cartoonish graphics
– Focuses on Wiimote gameplay
– High Voltage is the developer
– Takes place during World War II
– Captain America is infiltrating a castle that Hydra has made into its base
– Enemies from the comic books in the game including Lady Hydra
– Aim at your target with the Wiimote pointer
– Tap a button to throw Captain America’s signature weapon
– Times slows down when you hold the C button
– Captain America can paint numerous targets at once in this mode
– When you release the button, shield thrown automatically and goes from target to target, which stuns/knocks down enemies
– Can hide behind the shield if someone is attacking you
– If an enemy is firing a submachine gun, hold the block button and then use the pointer to point back at the enemy, bullets will deflect back where the pointer is facing
WiiSpeak can be bought “at limited retail locations,” High Voltage on not supporting the peripheral in Conduit 2

“The Wii Speak microphone is still available at limited retail locations. Additional shipments can be made if consumer demand increases.” – Nintendo statement
“Honestly, it boils down to this: the firmware required to support the PDP headset is incompatible with Wii Speak. We had to decide which one device to support. Sadly, we knew either route was likely to tick off some of our fans. So, we chose to support the best option for gameplay. And at the end of the day, the headset peripheral is more in line with what we believe our fans and first shooter players want/expect.” – Eric Nofsinger, High Voltage
In this case, I definitely see where High Voltage is coming from. I would much rather communicate through a headset rather than WiiSpeak when playing a first-person shooter. How about you guys?

First Wii game to top 4 million Japanese sales isn’t too surprising

Being one of the top selling games of this generation thus far, New Super Mario Bros. Wii is also the highest selling Wii game in Japan, being the first one to top 4 million units sold. This isn’t much a surprise, considering the DS NSMB has sold more than 20 million copies, but it’s still good to know that Mario has still got a lot of life in him!
Worldwide, the game has sold more then 16 million copies.
