Wii

There will be a small benefit in purchasing both Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir and Project Zero 2: Wii Edition. Once you’ve completed Spirit Camera, you’ll gain access to certain modes. Special content will appear in the game if you enter one of these modes and point the 3DS’ camera at the AR marker found on the back of the Project Zero 2: Wii Edition manual.

Spirit Camera and Project Zero 2 will be hitting Europe on June 29.

Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise will be available in Europe on July 6. As you’ll see in the trailer above, songs from the Japanese version will be included.

The Kirby Wii compilation disc – already confirmed for Japan – will also be releasing in North America. NOA confirmed on Facebook that the package will contain “all your favorite Kirby games”.

It will be available sometime this year.

Kirby turns 20 this year. Unlike Metroid, Nintendo hasn’t forgotten about the character’s birthday.

On the latest Japanese Nintendo Direct, Satoru Iwata announced that the company will celebrate by releasing “memorial versions” of classic Kirby titles on Wii. This will begin in the summer. Club Nintendo products will be made available as well in Japan.

It’s the 21st in Japan, so we’ll stick with that date! The presentation should begin in 15 minutes.

Keep tabs on the site once it has begun. Trailers, news, and other content can be found here.

Update: Some clarification from Nintendo of America’s Facebook.

The following message was posted:

“Wondering how you’ll understand tonight’s Nintendo Direct since it’s all in Japanese? Don’t worry, we’ll be sharing North American related announcements (in English). Check back here and on our @NintendoAmerica Twitter around 8:30 PM PT to get all the news.”

So… it sounds like there will be announcements for North America. Or news. Or something. Point is, there will be something for North American Nintendo fans. Whether they share this news in the form of a Nintendo Direct video remains to be seen.

Original post:

It seems as though North America will be getting its own Nintendo Direct later tonight. At the very minimum, there will definitely be “some news” from Nintendo of America.

The company will be sharing updates beginning at 8:30 PM PST / 11:30 PM EST.

Nintendo of America tweeted just moments ago:

“We’ve got some news to share 2nite around 8:30pm PT. Be sure to check back to get the latest!”

Satoru Iwata will be on hand to share the latest information about the 3DS and Wii. Essentially, you can expect footage, trailers, and other material for Japanese games. We’ll probably see the first trailer for Project X Zone and other upcoming releases.
