GVG has put out a video comparison for the new Handheld Mode Boost feature on Nintendo Switch 2 which shows just how much the Switch 1 experience has improved.

The functionality was just released yesterday as part of a new firmware update. When the setting is enabled, your Nintendo Switch 2 system will treat Switch 1 games as if they’re docked while playing portably. That means the resolution will increase for a clearer picture – it’s especially important given that the screen supports 1080p resolution.

TR-49

Today, Inkle announced that it’s putting TR-49 on Nintendo Switch. The title is due out on April 7, 2026.

TR-49 is a narrative deduction game in which you mess around with a strange old computer. The project was written and created by the award-winning team behind Heaven’s Vault, Overboard, and A Highland Song.

Is this Game Trying to Kill Me physical

Is this Game Trying to Kill Me is receiving a physical release on Nintendo Switch, it’s been announced. Limited Run Games is handling production.

There’ll be just a standard version for this one, so no special editions. However, each unit will come with a booklet.

Ubisoft has announced a new version of the classic Monopoly game, and this one is set to catch the attention of fans of one of the biggest franchises around. Titled Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains, the release is planned for both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on June 11. More details about the game are also scheduled to be shared on April 29.

Developed by Behavior Interactive, the title brings players into the Star Wars galaxy with a customized Monopoly board featuring iconic locations from across the saga.

Tamashika

Edglrd and Quicktequila are bringing Tamashika to Nintendo Switch, the two sides revealed today. A release is set for April 10, 2026.

Tamashika is a frenetic first-person shooter. In the game, players will experience “a psychedelic trance of shifting corridors, where every day brings a new challenge.”

Publisher Silver Lining Interactive, along with developers Fat Alien Cat and Nomo Studio, have confirmed that their new cozy room-decorating game Momento is coming to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The title does not yet have a specific release date, but it’s currently slated for Q2 2026.

The game is a cozy room-decorating experience featuring charming environments, relaxing gameplay, and engaging branching narratives. Players will be able to decorate their room, choose the items that matter most to them, and discover what those choices mean for the life they lead.

Kusan City of Wolves demo

Announced today, Kusan: City of Wolves will soon be receiving a demo on Nintendo Switch. It will be distributed on the Nintendo eShop once it’s ready.

The demo features a focused slice of the high-octane hardcore top-down shooter. It features clean gunplay, tight movement, ruthless combos and instant payoffs.

Today, Limited Run Games announced future plans for the company, which involves a fan-first focus for the company.

Limited Run says that it will be “celebrating the community, strengthening communication, and delivering a more consistent experience around every release.” Josh Fairhurst previously stepped down as president and stewardship of the brand and business operations will now be led cooperatively by COO Nic Ashford and CFO Brendan Madigan with the two overseeing operations and fulfillment and Madigan overseeing business performance and partner support respectively.

Offbrand Games and Bonte Avond have come out with a launch trailer for Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime. This is a new comedy/music/adventure/tactical frog battle game for Nintendo Switch.

Bit.Trip Rerunner

Choice Provisions will release a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Bit.Trip Rerunner, it’s been confirmed. A campaign to port the game over has been taking place on Kickstarter and the $50,000 goal has been met less than three days before crowdfunding ended.

Bit.Trip Rerunner is a new take on the classic rhythm platformer. Additionally, a level designer is included.

Bit.Trip has a long history on Nintendo platforms and the entire series is currently available on Switch. The franchise originally started out on WiiWare back in 2009.
