Announced today, Hyperwired is set for release on Nintendo Switch. SelectaPlay and SidralGames are bringing it out later in 2026.

Hyperwired is a top-down action shooter with roguelike elements featuring a spaceship that has a plug hanging from it. Players will wire into sockets, gather upgrades, and unlock ships as they explore a procedurally generated galaxy.

A bunch of information can be found in the following overview:

Hyperwired is a 2D pixel art roguelike space shooter with plugged resource management, procedural levels and challenging bosses. Hold the controls tight and do not get stranded in the void! This title is coming to Switch later in 2026.

Plug in to recharge your energy and manage your resources. Be Careful! Once plugged, you’ll only be able to move within the range of your cable! Space is plunged into darkness, activate the spacesockets to clear a level and travel to the next sector.

  • Choose between 10+ different ships with different gameplay modes!
  • Blast your mega-laser!
  • Form an army of rescued stranded ships that will fight alongside you!
  • Destroy the stages and defeat a large variety of enemies!
  • Encounter dangerous and challenging BOSSES after each galaxy in your quest.

Holding the breach, dodging enemy bullets, and piloting through narrow hallways shouldn’t be a problem, BUT just in case…

Your ship is equipped with a futuristic Slow-Mo System that you can use almost whenever you want! Luckily for you, it recharges by collecting energy from dead enemies!

  • Pick up BATTERIES and discover +250 combinations of bullet modifiers!
  • Get CHIPS of temporary upgrades by destroying enemies!
  • Choose between more than 40 upgrades for your ship.
  • Optimize charge times, improve your firepower, get more cable length…
  • Become invisible to enemies.
